As an educator, I have taught undergraduate academic courses, music performance, and South Asian languages.

I served as instructor of record for the undergraduate courses "Introduction to World Music" and "Jazz Style and History" as a graduate teaching follow at the University of Pennsylvania.

My work as a writing mentor while at Grinnell College developed my passion for working one-on-one with students to help them achieve their educational goals. I worked with students at Grinnell and at the nearby Newton Correctional Facility as a part of the Liberal Arts in Prison Program.

I am ACTFL-certified as an advanced speaker of Hindi and Urdu, and I serve as a translator for South Asian musicians and other presenters. I have taught Hindi and Urdu language to private clients. Since I started as a complete beginner years ago, I understand the struggles that English speakers face trying to learn the language and am able to help students push past those obstacles to proficiency.

In the realm of music performance, I have taught drums and tabla, and give workshops on Indian music for American audiences.
